Mumbai’s financial, commercial and economic status gives it the privilege of uninterrupted electrical supply. Despite of some recent upsets, during which certain parts of north Mumbai had been plunged into darkness, the residents of Mumbai do not have much to complain about. The city receives its supply of electricity from the long established Brihan Mumbai Electrical Supply and Transport (BEST), Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) and Reliance Industries.
