High Court of Greater Mumbai

The High Court of Mumbai is known as The Bombay High Court. On the fringes of Fort the Bombay High Court stands tall with its hauntingly beautiful black stone structure overlooking a sprawling lush green practice-field of aspiring cricketers.  It is one of the oldest chartered High Courts in the country which has under its jurisdiction the states of Maharashtra, Goa and the Union

Territories of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. There are two lower courts under the Bombay High Court: Small Causes courts for civil cases and the Session court for criminal cases. In Mumbai it has Original Jurisdiction in addition to Appellate and has a sanctioned strength of 64 judges.
